DOSAN DIGITAL LIBRARY
This Project is in the Development and Fund Raising Phase

DOSAN DIGITAL LIBRARY is a new and exciting project in collaboration with the U.C. Berkeley ECAI (Electronic Cultural Atlas Initiative) to develop the comprehensive electronic biography and archives.

DOSAN DIGITAL LIBRARY will house about 6,500 historical items ranging from photographs to letters, writings, official documents, songs, and poetry. Once installed, the library will be made available for viewing worldwide through the vast ECAI network and Internet, which includes the Library of the Congress. State-of-the-art technology will help the user navigate through the mountain of historical data with ease, with its "smart" tools that ECAI developed. Google Earth will also be a tool used in the Library development and activity.

We believe that this LIBRARY will provide easy access for all to learn about Dosan the man, Dosan the leader, and Dosan the pioneer in relation to the history and culture of Korea, America and the world. Above all, this LIBRARY will provide opportunities to explore his legacy which is founded on honesty, integrity, respect, sincerity and accountability, values that have proven to be crucial in improving human conditions.

Dosan had come to this earth at a time when Korea was writhing in poverty under the worst of circumstances and when Japan was trying to obliterate Korea from the face of the earth. He instilled hope in the hearts of the Korean people, along with ethical core values, which in turn became the engine for the progress that Korea enjoys today. The world, especially developing nations, will be able to learn and benefit from his vision and experiences.
