필립 안 커디 “국가 지도자에게 봉사 리더십 필요” -지도자에게는 신뢰가 중요, 신뢰받기 위해서는 정직해야

-도산 관련 서적 2-3권 발간 위해 준비


도산 안창호 선생의 외손자인 필립 안 커디 씨(사진)는 JNC TV 인터뷰에서 대한민국의 현안에 대해서 의견을 밝혔다.
도산 안창호 선생은 독립운동가이자 위대한 지도자인데, 지도자에게 필요한 덕목은 무엇인가에 대한 임마리 앵커의 질문에 신뢰라고 답했다.
필립 씨는 도산 안창호 선생이 주장했던 사상인 무실역행(진실을 추구하고 행하기에 힘쓰자)을 예를 들면서, "지도자에게는 신뢰가 중요하고 신뢰받기 위해서는 정직해야 한다”고 말했다.
또한 권력 리더십과 봉사 리더십, 두 가지 타입의 리더십이 있는데 도산의 리더십은 봉사 리더십이라면서 국가 지도자에게는 봉사 리더십이 필요하다고 했다.
이재명, 윤석열 후보의 정책 평가에 대한 질문에는, 유권자들이 두 후보의 외교 정책뿐만 아니라 경제, 주택, 평등 정책을 잘 살펴보고 선택해야 한다고 답했다.
필립 씨는 여야 두 후보 캠페인에서 네거티브가 너무 많다며 우려를 표했고, 두 후보 모두 도산의 리더십을 따르지 않는다고 평가했다.
올해의 계획에 대한 질문에 필립 씨는 현재 도산 사진 전시회를 하고 있고 http://dosan.org 웹사이트를 관리하고 있으며, 도산 관련 서적 2-3권 발간을 위해 준비할 것이라고 답했다.
필립 씨는 UC 리버사이드대는 파차파캠프를 최초의 한인타운이라고 하나 사실이 아니라면서, 도산과 관련된 잘못 알려진 역사를 바로잡기 위해서도 노력할 것이라고 했다. (기사 제공 : JNC TV)

Philip Ahn Cuddy: “National Leaders Need Service Leadership. Trust is important for a leader, and honesty is crucial for earning Trust.”

Dosan Ahn Chang-Ho’s grandson Philip Ahn Cuddy expressed his opinions on Korea’s events in his interview with JNC TV.

Mary Yim, the anchor, asked Cuddy, “Dosan Ahn Chang-Ho is a great leader, and what do leaders need?” Cuddy answered, “Trust,” and pointed out Mu Shil Yeok Hang was the center of Dosan’s philosophy and said, “Trust is the important element for the leader, and the leader must be honest in order to earn trust.”

There are two kinds of leadership, power leadership and service leadership, and Dosan used service leadership. A nation’s leader must practice service leadership, Cuddy said. Asked about the candidates, Lee Jae-myung and Yoon Suk-yul, and their policies, Cuddy said that the voters must closely examine their foreign policies as well as policies on diplomacy, economy, housing, and equality before voting.

Cuddy expressed his concerns about excessive negativity in their campaigns and assessed that they lacked Dosan’s service leadership elements.

Regarding his plans for this year, he said that he planned a photo exhibit and managed the website dosan.org. Also, he is planning to publish 2 or 3 books about Dosan. Cuddy will put his effort into straightening out a variety of historical data, pointing to UC Riverside’s false assertion that Riverside was the first Koreatown.
